Prepared Communities. Saved Lives.

From disaster relief to long-term resilience, we help vulnerable populations withstand and recover from crises.

Resilience Starts Before the Emergency.

Our preparedness programs empower communities to face disasters with strength, knowledge, and support.

In a region regularly affected by droughts, floods, and conflict, preparedness and timely response are critical. ATO’s Emergency Preparedness & Response Program ensures that communities are equipped to withstand shocks and recover quickly from crises.

Our Activities Include:

  • Rapid Emergency Assessments: Collaborating with local leaders and authorities to assess the scale and needs of affected populations during emergencies.
  • Relief Distribution: Providing essential items such as food, non-food items (NFIs), temporary shelter, and hygiene kits to disaster-affected families.
  • Early Warning Systems: Setting up local monitoring systems and training communities on how to respond to disaster alerts.
  • Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR): Training on contingency planning, hazard mapping, and emergency drills for schools and villages.
  • Coordination and Advocacy: Working with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), county governments, and humanitarian clusters to ensure effective coordination of response.
